Locally owned ice cream shop Liks, known as a neighborhood favorite in Capital Hill also has a location in South Denver. Formerly a Baskin Robbins, Liks is located in a strip mall off Arapahoe near Holly. It's conveniently located across the street from a Kaiser Permanente office - if you need to soothe your child's soul after a shot, perhaps some ice cream would work?

The inside has more character than you would expect from a strip mall, with a chalkboard-esque menu wall and bright, clean colors.

The flavors are plentiful and creative: with creations like Horchata Pecan and Peanut Butter and Jelly. A real standout flavor was the Liks Chai ice cream. We've had the "Bhakti Chai" from Sweet Action Ice cream but found it lacked punch (ironic given that Bhakti is known for a potent blend). The Chai at Liks was amazingly flavorful.

Our favorite: the Billionaire, a dark chocolate mix of all things decadent: fudge, caramel, and nuts.
